Sumario:The objective of this work is to present how the various spaces of cultural action of Argentine political emigrants were constituted, throughout the decades from the 1960s to the 1980s, with emphasis on the period 1976-1983. The spatial cutout is Rio Grande do Sul, southern Brazil. The reasons for the departure (1966-1972) were political, but also the economic and social crisis. Even the “democratic interregnum” (1973-1976) was marked by a drip of people fleeing parastatal violence. This flow would increase after the 1976 Coup, with the massive repression and extermination of dissidents by the military, leading a large number of people into exile. Among the possible itineraries and escape routes was Brazil. For this work we use oral and documentary sources. The interviews were carried out with former Argentine political emigrants in Brazil.
