The spatial cutout is Rio Grande do Sul, southern Brazil. The reasons for the departure (1966-1972) were political, but also the economic and social crisis. Even the “democratic interregnum” (1973-1976) was marked by a drip of people fleeing parastatal violence. This flow would increase after the 1976 Coup, with the massive repression and extermination of dissidents by the military, leading a large number of people into exile. Among the possible itineraries and escape routes was Brazil. For this work we use oral and documentary sources. The interviews were carried out with former Argentine political emigrants in Brazil. El objetivo de este trabajo es presentar como se constituyeron los diversos espacios de actuación cultural de los emigrados políticos argentinos, a lo largo de las décadas del 1960 hasta la década de 1980, con énfasis en el período 1976-1983. El recorte espacial es Rio Grande do Sul, sur del Brasil. Los motivos para la salida (1966-1972) eran políticos, pero también la crisis económica y social del país. Incluso el “interregno democrático” (1973-1976) fue marcado por un goteo de personas que huían de la violencia paraestatal. Este flujo aumentaría a partir del Golpe de 1976, con la represión masiva y exterminio de las disidencias por los militares, llevando una gran cantidad de personas al exilio. Entre los posibles itinerarios y ruta de fuga estaba el Brasil. Para este trabajo utilizamos fuentes orales y documentales.
