Until this investigation, Venezuela as a destination of this exile had not yet been studied in depth or questioned by the historiography of the political exiles produced by the last wave of state and parastatal repression in Argentina between 1973 and 1983. Este artículo sintetiza los resultados de mi investigación doctoral que se propuso realizar una reconstrucción histórica de la colonia de exiliados argentinos que se formó en Venezuela entre 1974 y 1983, analizando la política de asilo venezolana, las rutas de exilio, los perfiles políticos y sociodemográficos y las estrategias de acción política anti dictatorial en el contexto político local y transnacional. Hasta esta investigación Venezuela como destino de ese exilio aún no había sido estudiada en profundidad ni interrogada por la historiografía de los exilios políticos producidos por la última oleada de represión estatal y paraestatal en Argentina entre 1973 y 1983.
