Sumario:In this article, we analyze the political stances and the public discourse of the Movimiento al Socialismo (MAS) toward the takeover of La Tablada carried out by the Movimiento Todos por la Patria (MTP) in January 1989. Based on the hypothesis that this event was revealed for the Argentine left-wing current as a highly dilemmatic fact that confronted them with a series of problems that had been partially occluded since the democratization process was launched in 1983. This assignment aims to make an issue of the position of condemnation adopted by the MAS in the face of the MTP’s action and pay attention to party debates both internal and external to the organization. To this end, some questions are raised, among them the most important is to what extent the democratic consensus built since the fall of the last military dictatorship played a role in defining these positions.
