Based on the hypothesis that this event was revealed for the Argentine left-wing current as a highly dilemmatic fact that confronted them with a series of problems that had been partially occluded since the democratization process was launched in 1983. This assignment aims to make an issue of the position of condemnation adopted by the MAS in the face of the MTP’s action and pay attention to party debates both internal and external to the organization. To this end, some questions are raised, among them the most important is to what extent the democratic consensus built since the fall of the last military dictatorship played a role in defining these positions. En este artículo analizamos los posicionamien­tos políticos y los discursos públicos del Movimiento al Socialismo (MAS) ante el copamiento a La Tablada llevado adelante en enero de 1989 por el Movimiento Todos por la Patria (MTP). Partimos de la hipótesis de que este acontecimiento se presentó como un hecho sumamente dilemático para las izquierdas argentinas que las enfrentó con una serie de problemáticas que habían estado parcialmente ocluidas desde que se puso en marcha el proceso de democratización en 1983. Este trabajo pretende problematizar la postura de condena adoptada por el MAS ante la acción del MTP y reparar en los debates partidarios tanto internos como externos a la organización. Para ello se plantean algunos interrogantes, entre ellos el más importante es en qué medida los consensos democráticos construidos desde la caída de la última dictadura militar desempeñaron un papel en la definición de dichos posicionamientos.
