Este artículo reflexiona sobre algunos aspectos centrales de la historiografía latina que han sido foco del debate en las últimas décadas. En la primera parte, presenta un estado de la cuestión sobre el tema de la veracidad y el peso de la retórica en las narraciones de los historiadores.
