| Sumario: | This article examines the Congreso de Historia Argentina del Norte y Centro gathered in Córdoba in 1941, identifying the actors and the institutions articulated for the building of a space according to the objectives outlined by the Academia Nacional de la Historia of Córdoba. Likewise, the attention is drawn to the memorial value of such event, which documents the lineages and identity discourses’ building with a commitment to the value of certain figures from the province’s historical and historiographic pantheon. Further, this work proposes a journey throughout different discourse mediations, those of the main official speeches at the Conference, with the purpose of making out the central aspects which show the historiographic temperature of the state of affairs. That is, the dilemmas and conceptions belonging to those who intervened, which pointed to the conflict on the building of a space in which many distinctions and highly disparate modes of inhabiting the emerging space of Argentinian historiography in which coexisted many dilettantes with other few actors in a process of professionalization. |
