Likewise, the attention is drawn to the memorial value of such event, which documents the lineages and identity discourses’ building with a commitment to the value of certain figures from the province’s historical and historiographic pantheon. Further, this work proposes a journey throughout different dis­course mediations, those of the main official speeches at the Conference, with the purpose of making out the central aspects which show the historiographic tempera­ture of the state of affairs. That is, the dilemmas and conceptions belonging to those who intervened, which pointed to the conflict on the building of a space in which many distinctions and highly dispar­ate modes of inhabiting the emerging space of Argen­tinian historiography in which coexisted many dilet­tantes with other few actors in a process of profes­sionalization. Este artículo examina el Congreso de Historia Argen­tina del Norte y Centro en Córdoba en 1941, identifi­cando los actores y las instituciones arti­culadas para la concreción de un espacio acorde a los objetivos pro­puestos por la Academia Nacional de la Historia de Cór­doba. Asimismo, ubica la mirada en el valor memorial del evento al docu­mentar la construcción de linajes y discursos de iden­tidad apostando al valor de deter­minadas figuras del panteón histórico e historiográfi­co de la provincia. Además, el trabajo propone un recorrido por distintas mediaciones discursivas, las de las principales alocu­ciones oficiales del Congreso, con el propósito de entrever los puntos centrales que de­muestran la tempe­ratura historiográfica en la coyuntura. Es decir, los di­lemas y concepciones propios de quie­nes intervinie­ron y que evidencian el conflicto por la construcción de un espacio en el que conviven distin­ciones y muy disímiles modos de habitar el espacio emergente de la historiografía argentina en el cual cohabitaban muchos diletantes y otros pocos actores en curso de profesionalización.
