This paper looks into two art installations, Cualquier salida puede ser un encierro [Any exit can be a confinement] (2011) by Graciela Sacco, and La indiferencia [Indifference] (2012) by Marie Orensanz. Both works were specifically conceived and built for the places of memory [Sitios de Memoria] in which they were installed. Due to the ephemeral and experiential character of these works, our analysis draws upon news articles, interviews, visual and audio-visual records, in order to convey the artists’ intentions in creating them. El siguiente artículo busca reflexionar sobre la posibilidad que otorga la instalación artística para la construcción de memoria en relación a la violencia y el horror experimentado durante la última dictadura cívico-militar en Argentina, entre 1976 y 1983. Se propone un recorrido por las obras Cualquier salida puede ser un encierro (2011) de Graciela Sacco, y La indiferencia (2012) de Marie Orensanz. Estas instalaciones fueron pensadas y construidas específicamente para los Sitios de Memoria en que fueron presentadas. Debido a su carácter efímero y experiencial, se utilizaron notas periodísticas, registro visual y audiovisual, y se realizaron entrevistas a las artistas con la necesidad de evocar las obras y acercarnos a las intenciones puestas en ellas.
