| Sumario: | This article presents the current state of discursive production about rock music in the so-called “interior” of Argentina, based on 17 works published in book format, with a systematization of data about the publications (year and type of edition, geographic and temporal clipping, narrative strategy, sources, among other dimensions). The research on the different strategies used to tell rock’s stories allows us to explain common features, differences and themes on which there is a vacancy of knowledge. Reviewing the corpus, we stop at references to the associative activities and self-management as outstanding features in the narratives about rock culture. Finally, we take stock of the current state of inquiry on the subject and future prospects, and we point out the importance of investigating and documenting the history of rock and its value for the memory of the different provincial scenes. |
