With this in mind, there is no doubt about the importance of the safeguarding and subsequent restoration of all heritage: the material and tangible art works; and also the immaterial, sound and audiovisual works that live inside different media storage supports.In this paper, we are going to analize this situation and propose some solutions coming mostly from philosophic thoughts about the context of actual media art. El paso del tiempo y la obsolescencia de los soportes son hoy en día los dos factores elementales que invitan a someter a una pieza artística, en cualquiera de sus formas, a un proceso de restauración. Con esto presente, no quedan dudas de la importancia de la salvaguarda y posterior restauración de todo patrimonio: material, las obras de arte tangibles; e inmaterial, las obras sonoras y audiovisuales que viven dentro de diversos soportes de almacenamiento.En este artículo, vamos a analizar esta situación y proponer algunas soluciones que provienen principalmente del pensamiento filosófico acerca del contexto actual de las artes electrónicas.
