We share some of the thoughts developed during those years and warn the readers that, since the project is ongoing, we are still in the process of finding the pieces that make up the puzzle encountered at the early stages. Therefore the reader will not find a text organized in a traditional way, but rather a sequence of sections that try to sort out the framework in which the main question of this work can be cast: what do we talk about when we talk about Chagas? En este artículo presentamos elementos que surgen y forman parte de una línea de investigación sobre Chagas que viene desarrollándose desde el año 2000 (y continúa en desarrollo). A lo largo de este texto compartimos reflexiones obtenidas en el transcurso de estos años y aclaramos que, como seguimos en camino, nos encontramos aún buscando pistas y piezas que nos permitan ir armando el rompecabezas al que nos enfrentamos al comienzo del trabajo. Por estos motivos, quienes lean estas páginas no se encontrarán con un texto organizado de manera tradicional sino con una serie de apartados que pretenden ordenar de algún modo el marco y el principal interrogante donde se fundamenta esta línea de trabajo: ¿de qué hablamos cuando hablamos del Chagas?
