From a bioethical perspective, focused on comprehensive health care, this study analyzed the identification of health needs in the population through Integrative Final Projects (IFP) of accredited medical specialization programs. In a sample of 163 IFPs, the aspects that might influence the selection of study variables and the approach to research were examined. Content analysis was used to show both the manifest and latent content of the data, and an exploratory statistical frequency analysis was conducted. It was found that the IFPs primarily focused on biological processes, with no significant differences related to health issues, the context in which they were developed, and/or the research model, which was mainly guided by international literature. From a bioethical perspective, there was little integration of other aspects of health needs, such as social determinants of health, quality of care, and patient satisfaction, which are observable in patient care activities beyond the specific content of the study plan.

En las carreras de especialización médica, las actividades de investigación se consideran una parte de la formación que favorece el aprendizaje, el pensamiento crítico y la atención de los pacientes. Desde una perspectiva bioética, centrada en la atención integral de la salud, en este trabajo se analizó la identificación de las necesidades en salud de la población en Trabajos Finales Integradores (TFI) de carreras de especialización médica asistenciales acreditadas. En una muestra conformada por 163 TFI, se indagaron aspectos que pudieran influir en la selección de las variables de estudio y en el modo de abordar las investigaciones. Se utilizó el análisis de contenido para mostrar tanto el contenido manifiesto como el contenido latente de los datos y se realizó un análisis estadístico exploratorio de frecuencias. Se encontró que los TFI se centraban en los procesos biológicos, sin diferencias significativas relacionadas con las temáticas de salud, el ámbito en que se desarrollan y el modelo de las investigaciones, orientadas predominantemente por bibliografía internacional. Desde un punto de vista bioético, se observó escasa integración de otros aspectos de las necesidades en salud, como los determinantes sociales de la salud, la calidad de la atención y la satisfacción de los pacientes, observables en la actividad asistencial más allá del contenido específico del plan de estudio.  Nas carreiras de especialização médica, as atividades de pesquisa são consideradas parte da formação que promove a aprendizagem, o pensamento crítico e o atendimento ao paciente. Numa perspectiva bioética, focada na atenção integral à saúde, este trabalho analisou a identificação das necessidades de saúde da população em Projetos Finais Integrativos (TFI) de carreiras de especialização médica credenciadas. Em uma amostra composta de 163 TFI, foram investigados aspectos que poderiam influenciar na seleção das variáveis ​​do estudo e na forma de abordagem das investigações. Utilizou-se análise de conteúdo para evidenciar tanto o conteúdo manifesto quanto o conteúdo latente dos dados e foi realizada uma análise estatística exploratória de frequências. Verificou-se que o TFI focava nos processos biológicos, sem diferenças significativas relacionadas aos temas de saúde, à área em que são desenvolvidos e ao modelo de pesquisa, orientado predominantemente pela bibliografia internacional. Do ponto de vista bioético, observou-se pouca integração de outros aspectos das necessidades de saúde, como os determinantes sociais da saúde, a qualidade do cuidado e a satisfação do paciente, observáveis ​​na atividade assistencial para além do conteúdo específico do plano de estudos.
