Sumario:The inclusion of a gender perspective is a key tool to reduce gender inequities, biases, and gaps in the processes of prevention, care, diagnosis, and treatment in the healthcare system. However, continuing education in this perspective is not enough, even considering the existence of regulations and gender mainstreaming policies in the public healthcare system of the Autonomous City of Buenos Aires. In this context, this study explores the obstacles and facilitators for incorporating a gender perspective into the field of continuing education in healthcare. Through exploratory research with a qualitative approach, intentional interviews were conducted with 14 key informants, including public health policy decision-makers and coordinators of continuing education spaces at the City Ministry of Health. Results showed a significant contrast between the visibility of the issue and the level of awareness about it. Institutional, healthcare system, work perspective, and individual obstacles were identified for the implementation of training policies in this field. Among the facilitators, socio-historical transformations and generational changes were highlighted.
