Introduction: The stress placed on nursing professionals has various negative consequences which include circulatory and gastrointestinal diseases, other physical, psychosomatic, and psychosocial disorders, as well as low productivity. Objective: To determine the level of work stress and the main stressors presented by nursing personnel in the context of the COVID-19 pandemic. Methodology:Study with a quantitative, descriptive, cross-sectional approach, given the cases of 126 nurses, with functions in the context of the COVID-19 pandemic, a structured online questionnaire was applied that contained a personal and work data card, and the Nurses Stress Scale ( NSS) with a reliability of .91.Results: 81% of the participants were female, most of whom worked the night shift, 58.7% referred to working 12 hours in their day, 44.4% had 7 or more patients in their custody, while 16 % claimed to have been infected with COVID-19. The prevailing stress level was rated medium among participants; the 12-hour work day was a factor for presenting stress in the participants. Conclusions: Stress levels are present in health workers, it is needed for interventionsfocused on coping strategies to reduce the suffering of healthworkers. |

Introducción: El estrés tiene diversas consecuencias negativas en el profesional de enfermería, las cuales se incluyen, las enfermedades circulatorias y gastrointestinales, otros trastornos físicos, psicosomáticos y psicosociales; así como baja productividad.Objetivo: Determinar el nivel de estrés laboral y los principales estresores que presenta el personal de enfermería ubicados en el contexto de la pandemia COVID-19. Metodología: Estudio con enfoque cuantitativo, de tipo descriptivo, transversal, en 126 enfermeras con funciones en el contexto de la pandemia COVID-19, se aplicó un cuestionario estructurado en línea que contenía una cedula de datos personales y laborales y la Escala de estrés en enfermeras (NSS) con una fiabilidad de .91. Resultados: el 81% de los participantes fueron del sexo femenino, en su mayoría de laboraban en el turno nocturno, el 58.7% refrió trabajar 12 horas en su jornada, el 44.4% tiene bajo su custodia 7 o más pacientes, mientras que el 16% afirmo haberse contagiado de COVID-19. El nivel de estrés que predomino fue el nivel medio, la jornada de trabajo de 12 horas fueron condición para presentar estrés en los participantesConclusiones: Los niveles de estrés están presentes en el profesional de salud, se considera necesario intervenir con estrategias de afrontamiento para disminuir el sufrimiento de los profesionales de enfermería. Objetivo: Determinar o nível de estresse no trabalho e os principais estressores apresentados pela equipe de enfermagem localizada no contexto da pandemia de COVID-19. Metodologia: Estudo de abordagem quantitativa, descritivo, transversal, em 126 enfermeiros com funções no contexto da pandemia COVID-19, foi aplicado um questionário estruturado online que continha uma ficha de dados pessoais e de trabalho e a Escala de Stress em enfermeiras (NSS) com uma confiabilidade de 0,91.Resultados: 81% dos participantes eram do sexo feminino, a maioria trabalhava no turno da noite, 58,7% relataram trabalhar 12 horas no dia, 44,4% tinham 7 ou mais pacientes sob sua custódia, enquanto 16 % afirmou ter sido infectado com COVID-19. O nível de estresse predominante foi o nível médio, a jornada de trabalho de 12 horas foi condição para apresentar estresse nos participantes. Conclusões: Os níveis de estresse estão presentes no profissional de saúde, considera-se necessário intervir nas estratégias de enfrentamento para diminuir o sofrimento dos profissionais de enfermagem.
