description The subjective impact that the COVID-19 pandemic produces on humanity, and the consequent need to adapt education to a virtual modality, guided the study of the meanings that undergraduate and graduate students of the Faculty of Dentistry of the National University of Córdoba construct by being immersed in this unprecedented context. A qualitative study was carried out from the grounded theory. The processing and analysis of the collected information was carried out by the Constant Comparative Method, which allowed the construction of the following categories: Experiences of emotional states (potentially motorizing or paralyzing), Man-nature relationship, Modes of production and distribution of goods and services, Strategies to face the pandemic (at the individual, state and collective level), Impact of virtuality in daily life and Rethinking post-pandemic professional practice. Conclusion: The flexibility and adaptive effort of these students allows an opportunity for change imposed by this new context.

El impacto subjetivo que la pandemia COVID-19 produce a la humanidad, y la consecuente necesidad de adaptar la educación a modalidad virtual, orientó el estudio de las significaciones que estudiantes de grado y posgrado de la Facultad de Odontología de la Universidad Nacional de Córdoba construyen al quedar inmersos en este inédito contexto. Se realizó un estudio cualitativo a partir de la teoría fundamentada. El procesamiento y análisis de la información recolectada se realizó por el Método Comparativo Constante, lo que permitió construir las siguientes categorías: Vivencias de estados emocionales (potencialmente motorizantes o paralizantes), Relación hombre-naturaleza, Modos de producción y distribución de bienes y servicios, Estrategias para enfrentar la pandemia (a nivel individual, estatal y colectivo), Impacto de la virtualidad en el cotidiano y Replanteo del ejercicio profesional postpandemia. Conclusión: La flexibilidad y esfuerzo adaptativo de estos estudiantes posibilita una oportunidad de cambio que impone este nuevo contexto.  O impacto subjetivo que a pandemia COVID-19 produz na humanidade, e a consequente necessidade de adequar a educação à modalidade virtual, norteou o estudo dos significados que os alunos de graduação e pós-graduação da Faculdade de Odontologia da Universidade Nacional de Córdoba constroem por estar imerso neste contexto sem precedentes. Um estudo qualitativo foi realizado a partir da teoria fundamentada. O tratamento e a análise das informações coletadas foram realizados pelo Método Comparativo Constante, que permitiu a construção das seguintes categorias: Experiências de estados emocionais (potencialmente motorizantes ou paralisantes), Relação homem-natureza, Modos de produção e distribuição de bens e serviços, Estratégias de enfrentamento da pandemia (em nível individual, estadual e coletivo), Impacto da virtualidade no cotidiano e Repensando a prática profissional pós-pandemia.
