Objective: Using the concept of YLL, which is defined as the time lost as a result of suffering from a disease or its aftermath. Results: In this order, the Ministry of Health, in joint action with public and private institutions, promotes the Dental Residency program, which aims to train dental surgeons who provide care to the most vulnerable population. Conclusion: The residency program is a strategy to reduce the gap in unequal access to oral health care services for the Peruvian population. El Ministerio de Salud, ente rector del Sector Salud del Perú, realizó estimaciones respecto al número de años perdidos por carga enfermedad a nivel nacional, encontrando que por los problemas de salud oral se pierden aproximadamente 150,000 horas. Objetivo: Utilizando el concepto AVD que se define como el tiempo perdido a consecuencia del padecimiento de una enfermedad o secuela de una enfermedad. Resultados: En ese orden el Ministerio de Salud en acción conjunta con instituciones públicas y privadas impulsa el programa de Residentado Odontológico, que tiene como finalidad la capacitación de Cirujanos Odontólogos quienes brinden atención a la población más vulnerable. Conclusión: El residentado constituye una estrategia para reducir la brecha en la desigualdad de acceso al servicio de salud buco dental de la población peruana. número de anos perdidos para a carga de doenças a nível nacional, descobrindo que aproximadamente 150 mil horas são perdidas para problemas de saúde bucal. Resultados: Nesta ordem, o Ministério da Saúde, em ação conjunta com instituições públicas e privadas, promove o programa de Residência Odontológica, que visa a formação de cirurgiões-dentistas que atendem a população mais vulnerável.
