The objective of this study was to determine the relationship between information level and preventive attitudes regarding HPV in 100 students of Nutrition Sciences at the Catholic University of Cordoba. A validated questionnaire was used with 22 questions regarding behavior and information about HPV. Information was assessed as: regular, good and very good and preventive attitude as grade I and grade II. Forty percent of the students has a very good level of information on HPV and 52% has a preventive attitude grade II. It was observed that there is an association between the level of information regarding HPV and HPV preventive attitude (p=0.0019). Seventy-two percent of the students had not undergone sexually transmitted diseases tests. It is advisable to strengthen prevention and promotion campaigns on sexual health. El Human Papillomavirus (HPV) es un virus de trasmisión sexual que puede ocasionar cáncer. En éste estudio se buscó determinar la relación entre el nivel de conocimiento y las actitudes preventivas sobre HPV en 100 estudiantes de la Licenciatura en Nutrición de la Universidad Católica de Córdoba. Se utilizó un cuestionario validado con 22 preguntas sobre conductas y conocimientos de HPV. Se calificó el conocimiento: regular, bueno y muy bueno y la actitud preventiva: grado I y grado II. El 40% de los estudiantes tiene un muy buen nivel de conocimiento de HPV, y el 52% tiene una actitud preventiva grado II. Se observó que existe asociación entre el nivel de conocimiento frente al HPV y la actitud preventiva al HPV (p=0,0019). El 72% de los jóvenes no se realizaron pruebas de enfermedades de transmisión sexual. Se recomienda que se fortalezcan campañas de prevención y promoción sobre salud sexual. O Human Papillomavirus (HPV) é um vírus sexualmente transmissível que pode causar câncer. Neste estudo, buscou-se verificar a relação entre o nível de informação e as atitudes preventivas sobre o HPV em 100 alunos do Bacharelado em Nutrição da Universidade Católica de Córdoba. Foi utilizado um questionário validado com 22 perguntas sobre comportamentos e informações sobre o HPV. As informações foram classificadas em: regular, boa e muito boa e a atitude preventiva: grau I e grau II. 40% dos alunos têm um nível muito bom de informação sobre o HPV e 52% têm uma atitude preventiva grau II. Observou-se que existe associação entre o nível de informação sobre o HPV e a atitude preventiva em relação ao HPV (p = 0,0019). 72% dos jovens não estavam testados para doenças sexualmente transmissíveis.
