Method: A cohort studyof 383 women was carried out in Concepción del Uruguay, Entre Rios. Each woman answered a survey whilepregnant. Later, when their children were 3 months old, they answered a Scale of Perceived Stress and a survey on SIA. Three variables were used to measure SEL: family income, occupation and educationallevel. Results: The variables Mother with distress according to SEL and Presence of SIA in their children did not result independent, with Cramer’s V value of 0.4212. Significance level applied was 0.05%. Conclusions: The combination of Distress duringpregnancy and Low SEL showed higher risk or SIA in babies than when the variables were studied separately.
