For that purpose, the objective was to identify gaps in IM according to the mothers› educational level in the province. The data source is the Census of Population, homes and housing (2010). Brass indirect method is used; inequality indicators are calculated and the current level of IM is simulated applying the gaps observed. The conclusion was that to higher educational level, the smaller the risk of infants to die before the year of age. RR was 1.73 and PAR 25%. If there wasn›t a gap, IMR would have been 6 instead of 8% of children born alive in 2015. Se ha reconocido ampliamente que el nivel educativo de las madres influye en el nivel de la mortalidad infantil (MI) pero poco se sabe de la situación en la provincia de Córdoba-Argentina para monitorear inequidades. Por ello, el objetivo fue identificar brechas en la MI según el nivel de instrucción de las madres en la provincia. La fuente de datos es el Censo de Población, hogares y viviendas (2010). Se utiliza la técnica indirecta de Brass. Se calculan indicadores de desigualdad y se simula el nivel actual de la MI aplicando las brechas detectadas. Se arribó a la conclusión de que a mayor nivel educativo menor el riesgo de los niños de morir antes del año de edad. El RR fue de 1,73 y el  RAP de  25%. De no existir la brecha, la TMI hubiera sido 6 en vez de 8 ‰ nacidos vivos en 2015. É amplamente reconhecido que o nível de educação das mães influencia o nível de mortalidade infantil (MI), mas pouco se sabe sobre a situação na província de Córdoba-Argentina para monitorar as desigualdades. Portanto, o objetivo foi identificar disparidades no MI de acordo com o nível de escolaridade das mães na província. A fonte de dados é o Recenseamento da População, Famíias e Moradias (2010). Emprega-se a técnica indireta de Brass.. Os indicadores de desigualdade são calculados e o nível atual de MIé simulado pela aplicação das disparidades detectadas. Concluiu-se que quanto maior o nível educacional, menor o risco de crianças morrerem antes de um ano de idade. O RR foi de 1,73 e o RAP foi de 25%.
