The results show that the psychological demands(OR = 2,12 [1,06 – 4,22]), p < 0,005), the social support at work and the quality of the leadership(OR = 2,09 [0,98 – 4,47]), p 0< 0,005), are important factors of the academic results of the students. However, teachers ‹mental health indicators did not show a relevant effect, so it is necessary to continue with the study of school climate, mental health and the effects on learning. |

El objetivo de este estudio fue conocer la relación entre la salud mental de los docentes y los resultados de sus estudiantes en pruebas estandarizadas. Se realizó un estudio con un diseño mixto, con un componente cualitativo y uno cuantitativo; el primero consistió en entrevistas a directivos y docentes; mientras que el segundo supuso una encuesta a 189 docentes sobre los factores de riesgo psicosocial en el trabajo, la satisfacción vital, el malestar psicológico, Síndrome de Burnout y la prevalencia de trastornos mentales. Los resultados muestran que las exigencias psicológicas (OR = 2,12 [1,06 – 4,22]), p < 0,005), el apoyo social en la empresa y la calidad del liderazgo (OR = 2,09 [0,98 – 4,47]), p < 0,005), son factores relevantes respecto de los resultados académicos de los estudiantes; no obstante los indicadores de salud mental de los docentes no mostraron tener un efecto relevante, por lo que se requiere continuar con el estudio del clima laboral de los docentes, la salud mental y los efectos en el aprendizaje. Resumo O objetivo deste estudo foi determinar a relação entre a saúde mental dos professores e os resultados dos seus alunos em testes padronizados. Um estudo com um desenho misto foi encaminhado empregando um componente qualitativo e um outro quantitativo; o primeiro consistiu em entrevistas com diretores e professores; enquanto o segundo envolveu um levantamento de 189 professores sobre fatores de risco psicossociais no trabalho, satisfação com a vida, sofrimento psíquico, Síndrome de Burn-out e a prevalência de transtornos mentais. Os resultados mostram que as demandas psicológicas(OR = 2,12 [1,06 – 4,22]), p < 0,005), apoio social na empresa e a qualidade da liderança (OR = 2,09 [0,98 – 4,47]), p 0< 0,005), são fatores relevantes para o desempenho acadêmico dos estudantes; ainda que os indicadores de saúde mental dos professores mostraram terem um efeito significativo, pelo qual é necessário continuar o estudo do ambiente de trabalho dos professores, a saúde mental e os efeitos sobre a aprendizagem.
