Sumario:Medical interventions during pregnancy as well as in the delivery process and particularly in elective C-section, are a debate issue among different specialists. The objective was to characterize the maternity process in the Province of Neuquén during the period 19952014.Specifically, it tries to describe prenatal controls in the public system and how deliveries result in the province, deepening if the variables mother age and educational level show any tendency when incorporated to the study. As a conclusion, it is not important to consider increasing prenatal control, but to reconsider pregnancy care, as regards modality and how it is carried out. The underlying strategy should refer to health professionals accompanying and informing during the maternity process.
