| Sumario: | The aim of this work was to build a mathematical model to predict the duration of the Agrimensura career of the Facultad de Ciencias Exactas y Naturales y Agrimensura, Universidad Nacional del Nordeste (FACENA-UNNE). The multiple linear regression method was used and a model in which the dependent variable is the length of the career and the independent variables are the times required for the period 2001-2011 graduates to approve each of the subjects of the curricula, was designed.The approval time of Algebra, Linear Algebra, Geometry and Mathematical Analysis explained 89% of the variation in the career´s duration. As these subjects correspond to the first year of the studies, the obtained model was ran for non-graduates who, in the period, had passed all the first year courses, obtaining mean and median durations similar to those found for the graduates.It can be concluded that the built model can be used for predictive purposes to estimate the career duration, since it is strongly linked with the time required to complete the course of mathematical formation, which is limited to the first year of studies. |
