| Sumario: | Despite the large number of studies that have attempted to examine the future of public administrations, few specialists have made a diagnosis of the structure of public organizations from an organizational point of view. What is more, an even smaller number of specialists have developed strategic research to explore the scenarios of the future. In order to respond to this vacancy, this paper seeks to analyze the main challenges and possible scenarios of the organizational structure of the national public administration in Argentina to 2030. The methodology is qualitative. Based on scenario modelling, it is embedded in a forward-looking strategy. To this end, expert interviews were combined with the use of specific tools to identify variables and categories, and with contributions from the literature. These contributions have allowed us to go deeper in the analysis of the systemic functioning of the set of variables in terms of influence/dependence. Our goal is a two-fold contribution. On the one hand, it is expected to increase theoretical knowledge about the structure of the national public administration in Argentina from an organizational point of view. On the other hand, it seeks to contribute to the understanding of possible future scenarios of this key dimension, in order to enable the development of different actions to achieve a desirable future through strategic planning. |
