In other words, it deals with the question about how one has come to be what one is being, understanding what we do –and the practices that are generated from them– defines who we are and our prospects about what we supposedly do.An early answer is that the unstable nature of professional identity as much as the same academic field are conditioned and directly related to the discussion between German idealistic tradition –from which comes the word Pedagogy–, and, on the other hand, French tradition with the nomination of Science Education. Today, these traditions are evidently in the curricular division between the PPS modality and the Research Work (Thesis) as graduation options. Este trabajo aborda la configuración de la identidad profesional de lxs egresadxs de la modalidad de PPS de la carrera de Licenciatura en Ciencias de la Educación de la Facultad de Filosofía y Humanidades (UNC). En otras palabras, plantea la pregunta acerca de cómo se ha llegado a ser lo que se está siendo, entendiendo que aquello que hacemos –y las prácticas que a partir de ellas se generan– definen en gran parte aquello que somos y nuestras perspectivas sobre lo que presuntamente hacemos.La respuesta provisoria a la que se arribó es que el carácter inestable de la identidad profesional, como el mismo campo académico en cuestión, está condicionado y en directa relación con la pugna entre la tradición idealista alemana, de la que se desprende el vocablo Pedagogía, y, por otro lado, la tradición francesa con la nominación de Ciencias de la Educación. Tradiciones éstas que hoy se expresan en la división curricular entre la modalidad de PPS y la de Trabajo de Investigación como opciones de egreso. Facultad de Filosofía y Humanidades.
