Sumario:This article describes some results of my research on how identity processes and moralities were built in the framework of popular dance interventions called "Somos el monte que marcha" in Cordoba city, Argentina, between 2019 and 2021. I make a brief historical review of the ways of dancing folklore in the local context and a description of the workshops in which this way of dancing was taught, traversed by the relationship between dancing with personality and dancing in community. Then I describe a particular conception of the ideas of “popular” and “community” that was central in the intervention and it was used as the basis of the moral and identity construction in the investigated world, linked to a “homesickness for a past not lived”.Finally, I show how a state of body and consciousness was built in the intervention that reinforced the senses associated with these dances.
