I make a brief historical review of the ways of dancing folklore in the local context and a description of the workshops in which this way of dancing was taught, traversed by the relationship between dancing with personality and dancing in community. Then I describe a particular conception of the ideas of “popular” and “community” that was central in the intervention and it was used as the basis of the moral and identity construction in the investigated world, linked to a “homesickness for a past not lived”.Finally, I show how a state of body and consciousness was built in the intervention that reinforced the senses associated with these dances. Este artículo describe algunos resultados de mi investigación sobre el modo en que se construían procesos identitarios y moralidades en el marco de intervenciones de danza popular llamadas “Somos el monte que marcha” en la ciudad de Córdoba, Argentina, entre los años 2019 y 2021. Realizo un breve repaso histórico en relación a los modos de bailar folklore en el contexto local y una descripción de los talleres en los que se enseñaba esta forma de danzar atravesada por la relación entre bailar con personalidad y bailar en comunidad. Describo algunos elementos centrales de la intervención y luego desarrollo la particular concepción de lo popular y lo comunitario que se esgrimía como base de la construcción moral e identitaria en el mundo indagado, vinculada a una “nostalgia de un pasado no vivido”.Finalmente, muestro cómo, a partir de estas intervenciones artísticas, se construía un estado corporal y de conciencia que reforzaba determinados sentidos asociados a estas danzas.
