This process is reflected in the decrease in area destined to the green belt of the city of Córdoba as well as in the environmental deterioration evidenced in the incompatibility of land uses in the peri-urban space. In Chacra de la Merced, the disappearance of the horticultural activity and the jobs that this activity generated, had an impact on the deepening of the levels of poverty and inequality. This article aims to make visible the reproduction strategies of families with a horticultural tradition and other family units that, given the current configuration of the territory and the changes in land use in Chacra de la Merced, have been modified in the period 1985-2020.
