The practice is part of a research process that seeks to analyze the effects that the most recent housing policies have had in popular neighborhoods on acts of violence and the perception of insecurity, emphasizing women as priority subjects of the right to the city. Starting from the hypothesis that women in popular neighborhoods experience urban insecurity associated with gender factors and residential segregation that generate conditions of greater vulnerability, a multiple triangulation methodology was designed that crosses different scales and levels of analysis with the intention of unravel the multiplicity of factors that intervene in their experiences. It is expected that the discussion on the methodology contributes to questioning the hegemonic ways of producing the city, to advance in the construction of alternative models that promote safer and more inclusive cities.
