| Sumario: | The potato virus X was purified fromNicotiana glutinosa L. tissues, clarifying the plantsap by low speed centrifugation cycles, precipitations with polyethyleneglycol, sucrose cushion and sucrose density gradient ultracentrifugation. Rabbits were immunized with the purified preparations and a titer of 1/128 in microproecipitation tests was obtained. The immunóglobulin G was purified, and conjugated with alkaline phosphatase to be used in ELISA tests. The immunoglobulin G and conjugate are at present being used by the departmentin virus detection in potatoes. |
