Water stress reduced stem length and dry weight in all treatments, The CCC shortened the stem as a result of the reduction in the length of internodes. Leaf area and total dry weight were not decreased by C'CCj except in the treatment- with 2 g. of CCC without water stress. Both CCC and water stress slightly delayed the beginning of flowering. Plantas de soja/Glycine max (L.) Merril/ cv. Halesoy 71 crecieron en potes con 4.500 g. de mezcla de tierra humífera y arena (3:1 v/v). Se trabajó en invernáculo con 4 repeticiones distribuidas al azar. Los tratamientos consistieron en dosis de 0; 1 y 2 g. de CCC aplicado en solución al suelo, sometidos a dos niveles de humedad edáficas: con y sin déficit hídrico. El déficit hídrico disminuyó el porte y redujo la producción de materia seca en todos los tratamientos. El CCC redujo significativamente la longitud del tallo principalmente en ambos niveles hídricos debido a una disminución de la longitud de los internodios. El CCC no disminuyó significativamente ni el peso seco total ni el área foliar, excepto para la dosis de 2 g. con alta humedad. El déficit hídrico y el CCC retrasaron ligeramente el comienzo de la floración.
