In fruit species, propagation by grafts on juvenile stocks is an effective method for partially rejuvenating adult material, or in other terms, mature material. In the course of the presentation, emphasis will be made on methods applicable to the mother plant as well as those used for in vitro culture. In forest trees, research on this type of propagation has increased in the last few years; however, there are few instances of massive production of individuals. The advantages of this method are the possibility of achieving rapid multiplication of individuals (selected for their productivity, quality, resistance to pathogens, etc.), the cloning of hybrids and polyploid organisms by means of conventional techniques (grafting, rooting of cuttings, etc.) or by in vitro culture of meristems, tissues, or cells.
