In order to identify the perception of the intercultural advantage evidenced in the narration of facts, this study seeks to contribute in the understanding of the intercultural relationships in mixed family environments between individuals of different nationality. Through a study that has recovered the discourse of the members of eight Czech-Mexican couples, it is shown that the advantage perceived by them is stems from the acquisition of intercultural skills. The information collected has been organized through the evaluation of four elements that define the interculturality: power relations, intercultural communication, integration and cultural alterity. The main finding indicates that the context in which mixed Czech-Mexican couples have been made up is characterized by a balance in the negotiation of interest to form joint life goals. This advantage is materializes in the expansion of the opportunity to move between two countries, either to settle in the country of encounter, or to migrate to the country of the other. The trend shown has been biased towards the country of women. |

Con el objetivo de identificar la percepción de la ventaja intercultural evidenciada en la narración de hechos, este estudio busca contribuir en el entendimiento de las relaciones interculturales en ámbitos familiares mixtos entre individuos de diferente nacionalidad. A través de un estudio que ha recuperado el discurso de los miembros de ocho parejas checo-mexicanas, se muestra que la ventaja percibida se desprende de la adquisición de competencias interculturales. La información recabada se ha organizado mediante la evaluación de cuatro elementos que definen la interculturalidad: relaciones de poder, comunicación intercultural, integración y alteridad cultural. El principal hallazgo indica que el contexto en el cual se han conformado las parejas mixtas checo-mexicanas se caracteriza por un equilibrio en la negociación de interés para formar metas vitales conjuntas. Dicha ventaja se materializa en la ampliación de la oportunidad para moverse entre dos países, sea para establecerse en el país de encuentro, sea para migrar al país del otro. La tendencia mostrada se ha sesgado hacia el país de la mujer. Com o objetivo de identificar a percepção da vantagem intercultural evidenciada na narração de eventos, este estudo busca contribuir para a compreensão das relações interculturais em ambientes familiares mistos entre indivíduos de diferentes nacionalidades. Através de um estudo que recuperou o discurso dos membros de oito casais tcheco-mexicanos, mostra-se que a vantagem percebida decorre da aquisição de habilidades interculturais. A informação recolhida foi organizada através da avaliação de quatro elementos que definem a interculturalidade: relações de poder, comunicação intercultural, integração e alteridade cultural. O principal achado indica que o contexto em que os casais mistos tcheco-mexicanos foram formados é caracterizado por um equilíbrio na negociação de interesses para formar objetivos de vida conjuntos. Essa vantagem materializa-se na ampliação da oportunidade de deslocamento entre dois países, seja para se estabelecer no país de encontro, seja para migrar para o país do outro. A tendência apresentada foi tendenciosa para o país das mulheres.
