The article addresses two religious expressions, the neo-Hindu Sai Baba movement and "Zendo Betania" Buddhist school, and realizes their origins and globalization to focus on their implementation in Argentina. It assumes that when arriving to our country, these movements do, although differentially, according to certain hegemonic social matrices present at the national context. Then, from the examination of body techniques practiced by these groups (meditation), this work presents the idea that such practices redefine the participants' body scheme, promoting alternative modes of subjectivation that confront with dominant aspects of current culture; specifically, the conception of people and their links with the environment. In this sense, this article problematize the corporeality in globalized contemporary societies. These kind of analysis recognizes and emphasizes that, even though practices reproduce hegemonic norms, it is possible to find -within that same reproduction- leaking points that operates transformations. El artículo abordados expresiones religiosas, el movimiento neo-hinduistaSai Baba y la escuela budista “Zendo Betania”, y da cuenta de su origen y globalización para concentrarse en suimplantación en la Argentina. Asume que al inscribirse en nuestro país,dichos movimientos lo hacen, si bien de modo diferencial, conforme adeterminadas matrices sociales hegemónicas presentes en el ámbito nacional. A continuación, a partir del examen de lastécnicas corporales practicadas por estos grupos (la meditación), el trabajo avanza en la idea de que dichas prácticas redefinen el esquema corporal de los participantes, promoviendo modalidades alternativas de subjetivación que confrontan aspectosdominantes de la cultura actual; específicamente, la concepción de la persona y sus vínculos con el entorno. En este sentido, el presente artículo se inscribe en una línea de trabajos que problematizanla corporalidad en las sociedades globalizadas contemporáneas, análisis que reconocenquesi bien las prácticas recitan normas hegemónicas,enfatizan a la vez que en esa misma repetición se dan puntos de fuga que operan transformaciones.
