This resulted in an interpretation of the process which allowed to identify the failure of the Popular Unity in a future perspective. In this paper, we will present a theoretical reflection about the relation between law, violence and capital accumulation, from the critical discourses about the breakdown democracy in Chile. El análisis de las prácticas de politización de las clases subalternas, por parte de los teóricos de la transición en Chile, se efectuó bajo las premisas de la inmunización política y de la excepcionalidad de la violación del Estado de Derecho que implicó el golpe de Estado. Esto proyectó una lectura del proceso que permitió identificar el fracaso de la Unidad Popular en sentido de futuro.
