Los estudios acerca de la artista chilena, generalmente, son desde la mirada folclórica o literaria, olvidando el componente esencial y fundamental de toda manifestación artística: el lenguaje.  The aim of this research is to contribute to the studies on Violeta Parra from an interdisciplinary perspective, theorizing the social imaginary, sociolinguistics, and ethnolinguistics. In doing so, it interprets her vision of society and culture through the language used in her songs and discourse. Studies on the Chilean artist generally focus on folkloric or literary aspects, often overlooking the essential and fundamental component of all artistic expression: language.
