Entre sus hallazgos se encuentra la posibilidad de que ambas formas de instrumentalidad coincidan o se bifurquen, y la singular importancia que cumplen las diferentes tradiciones disciplinares y titulaciones profesionales en dicha construcción. Mientras que Ingeniería en Informática tiende a una desterritorialización global de lenguas, Trabajo Social se focaliza en el trabajo en el territorio cercano, valorizando marcadamente a las lenguas originarias y a la lengua de señas. This study explores the linguistic ideologies of students from two programs at the Universidad Nacional Arturo Jauretche (UNAJ): Computer Engineering and Social Work. Its aim is to analyze how academic and professional/instrumental uses of languages shape the emergence of specific linguistic ideologies within these fields. The findings suggest that these forms of instrumentality may either converge or diverge and highlight the significant role played by distinct disciplinary traditions and professional qualifications in this process. While Computer Engineering tends toward a global deterritorialization of languages, Social Work focuses on engagement within the local territory, placing marked value on Indigenous languages and sign language.
