This text describes the experiences and appreciations of the writer and reflects on the paths that the academy can take to generate changes that significantly influence society and public policies, for example, recognizing native peoples and their linguistic rights in the Chilean Constitution; integrate indigenous populations into the workplace on the basis of their knowledge, idiosyncrasies, languages and cultures; unite the perceptions of society in general regarding the social, cultural and political rights of all the inhabitants of the country, among others. |
