PHONIC INTERLANGUAGE AND ASSESSMENT IN ELSE: THE CELU ORAL EXAM

This work aims to address the linguistic variables with the greatest incidence in the evaluation of orality in ELSE, especially dimensions such as comprehensibility, accent, and fluency (Santamaría Busto, 2015, 2020; Trofimovich & Isaacs, 2012, Isaacs & Thomson, 2020). We analyze the...

We analyze these aspects based on the interlocutor's expertise and the degree of performance of non-native learners. Regarding evaluators as expert judges, we consider their perceptual filters or phonological deafness (Dupoux, 2010; Pacagnini, 2014, 2021). We hope to contribute to research on level accreditation scales in the phonetic-phonological area, more specifically of evaluation descriptors in performance exams such as CELU (Certificate of Spanish: Language and Use, ELSE-CIN Consortium.
