Sumario:Designing projects and developing actions in relation to languages in general and foreign languages in particular, in the geopolitical and cultural enclave of the NEA region of Argentina, calls us to a deep reflection on linguistic foreignness. This intercultural context of multiple languages and plural ethnicities constitutes a challenge for the teaching and learning of Spanish as a native and foreign language, which we try to address from our universities in sustained inter-institutional work supported by research and reflections from a regional approach, through pluricentric policies, and democratic and inclusive institutional definitions that address bordering dynamics without losing sight of the national and global dimension.
