In this article, the faculty in charge of this seminar reflect on the experience of training students at the postgraduate level who had not acquired research literacy at the undergraduate level. After an in-depth description of the seminar design logic, they assess the research topics of interest to the participants, address critical issues in their training, and justify the chosen methodological approaches implemented. Finally, they propose recommendations for future research courses at the Master’s level within this postgraduate program. En el marco del Posgrado mixto ANEP-UDELAR (Especialización y Maestría) en Enseñanza de lenguas extranjeras, existe un espacio curricular común orientado a la formación en investigación de los estudiantes que se inscriben en sus cuatro Menciones: Francés, Inglés, Italiano y Portugués. Los profesores a cargo de dicho seminario reflexionan en el presente trabajo sobre la experiencia de formar a nivel de posgrado a quienes no contaron con esa preparación en el nivel de grado. Luego de describir en profundidad la lógica de diseño del seminario, realizan una apreciación de las temáticas de interés de los participantes, abordan nudos críticos en la formación y fundamentan las opciones metodológicas adoptadas. Finalmente, proponen recomendaciones de cara a futuros cursos de investigación de este posgrado para el nivel Maestría.
