To this end, we’ve adopted the Semantics of the Event (Guimarães, 2005a) in interface with the French line of Discourse Analysis (Orlandi, 2009). In the analysis of the names in Spanish, we perceive the functioning of a memorable in the ten designations that, in the enunciative scenes in the city space, signify the social relations and the historically shared territory by these subjects who inhabit the border, marking the presence of the Spanish language as a part of the identification of places and of the subjects in circulation in the city. Este trabalho objetiva analisar a presença e a circulação da língua espanhola na cidade de Bagé, no estado do Rio Grande do Sul, situada na faixa de fronteira Brasil-Uruguay por meio do funcionamento das designações dos estabelecimentos comerciais. Para tal, filiamo-nos à Semântica do Acontecimento (Guimarães, 2005a) em interface com a Análise de Discurso de linha francesa (Orlandi, 2009). Na análise dos nomes em espanhol, percebemos o funcionamento de um memorável nas dez designações que, nas cenas enunciativas no espaço da cidade, significam as relações sociais e o território compartilhado historicamente por esses sujeitos que habitam a fronteira, marcando a presença da língua espanhola como parte da identificação dos lugares e dos sujeitos em circulação na cidade.
