Sumario:In the last two years, devices were developed at the Federal University of Paraíba with which linguistic interventions are proposed within the scope of the institution. Such interventions are built with the aim of provoking an ideological and discursive reorientation that places the issue of languages ​​in a prominent place in the education of students. It is a deliberate movement for the conformation of an imaginary that circumscribes languages ​​not only as instruments for international interactions, but also as a key element in cultural identity, in human and professional training and in the defense of individual and collective rights. This article, inscribed in the glotopolitical approach and from an ethnographic perspective, sets out to describe these interventions and analyze their conditions of production.
