We report here some results of the investigation we carried out in the Patagonian provinces of Río Negro, Chubut, and San Cruz. A guide is proposed for the local educational dimensions that are interrelated in school life: institutional culture, school practices and policies. The ultimate goal is to promote inclusion and eliminate sociocultural barriers in the learning process. Entendiendo que la multiculturalidad y la interculturalidad son fenómenos que afectan las condiciones sociales de Argentina y especialmente de la Patagonia desde su incorporación estatal hasta la actualidad, se vuelve imperativo considerar pautas de acción para el tratamiento de las distintas situaciones de contacto cultural con actores de pueblos originarios y migrantes en el contexto escolar de las provincias de Río Negro, Chubut y Santa Cruz. A partir de resultados de nuestra investigación se propone una guía para la comunidad educativa, que ahonda en las tres dimensiones que se interrelacionan en la vida escolar –la cultura institucional, las prácticas y las políticas escolares–, con el fin de fomentar la inclusión y eliminar barreras socioculturales en los procesos de aprendizaje.
