The Old Believers moved to Brazil after centuries of oppression, as a result of which they first left Central Russia for the East of the country, and many of them moved to Harbin (China). After the 1949 revolution in China, they emigrated to several countries, including Brazil, managing to avoid the Estado Novo’s nationalization policy. At the beginning of the 21st century, several families of Old Believers decided to return to the Russian Far East, thus completing their round-the-world trip. O artigo é dedicado ao estudo da emigração dos Velhos Crentes russos para o Brasil e dos meios que lhes permitiram manter sua identidade linguística. Analisam-se as características do dialeto da língua russa dos Velhos Crentes que vivem no Brasil. Os Velhos Crentes mudaram-se para o Brasil após séculos de opressão, que os levou a migrarem sucessivamente da Rússia Central para o leste do país, acabando em muitos casos por se fixar em Harbin (China). Após a revolução de 1949 na China, emigraram para vários países, entre eles, o Brasil, conseguindo evitar a política de nacionalização do Estado Novo. No início do século XXI, várias famílias de Velhos Crentes regressam ao Extremo Oriente russo, completando assim sua volta ao mundo.
