The objective of this work is to list the main sources of research in the area, discussing its characteristics, importance, forms of access and its degree of opacity.   Keywords: archival history; documentary sources; Brazilian archivology; History of Science   El artículo enumera y debate las posibilidades de investigación acerca de la historia de los haceres y saberes archivísticos en el Brasil, a partir de sus fuentes primarias y secundarias. El trabajo tiene por objetivo reunir las fuentes de pesquisa más destacadas, debatiendo sus características, importancia, formas de acceso y su grado de opacidad.   Palabras-clave: historia de la archivística; fuentes documentales; Archivología brasileña; historia de la ciencia. O artigo elenca e discute as possibilidades de pesquisa sobre a história dos fazeres e saberes arquivísticos no Brasil, a partir de suas fontes primárias e secundárias. O trabalho tem por objetivo elencar as principais fontes de pesquisa da área, discutindo suas características, importância, formas de acesso e seu grau de opacidade.   Palavras-chave: história da arquivística; fontes documentais; Arquivologia brasileira; história da ciência.
