ResumenLos estudios universitarios en España han sufrido importantes cambios tras el establecimiento del Espacio Europeo de Educación Superior en el año 2008. Esto ha supuesto la desaparición de las antiguas diplomaturas y licenciaturas, que han sido sustituidas por grados y másteres. En este texto hemos querido reflejar el panorama formativo en Archivística existente antes y después de esa importante reforma. Analizamos, pues, la presencia de esta materia en los planes de estudios de las universidades españolas especialmente desde 1983, fecha de aprobación de la Ley de Reforma Universitaria (LRU). Y prestamos gran atención a las características de los distintos másteres ofertados ya que en España no existe ningún grado especializado en Archivística o Gestión Documental. Un archivero español lo es porque ha superado un proceso selectivo que lo acredita como tal, con independencia de la titulación universitaria que posea. Esos procesos no son uniformes pues dependen de las exigencias de cada institución o empresa. De ahí que hayamos querido dedicar la última parte de este trabajo a analizar un ejemplo muy significativo. Nos referimos a las pruebas selectivas que han debido superar los archiveros facultativos del Estado que prestan servicio en la actualidad en los grandes archivos nacionales.AbstractThe university studies in Spain have undergone important changes añer the establishment of the European Higher Education Area in 2008. This has meant the disappearance of the bachelorºs degrees which have been replaced by postgraduate degrees. In this work we wanted to show the training process in archives existing before and añer this important reform. We analyze the presence of this subject in the syllabus of Spanish universities especially since 1983, date of the approval of the University Reform Law (LRU). We pay special attention to the characteristics of the diñ“erent postgraduate degrees offered because in Spain there is no specialized degree in Archival Science or Records Management. A Spanish archivist gets his position because he or she has undergone a selective process that credits him or her as such, regardless of the university degree he or she has. These processes are not homogeneous. They depend on the requirements of each institution or company. That is the reason we want to analyze a significant example. We are referring to the selective tests that the archivists of the State currently working in the national archives have passed.Keywords: Spain, archivists, education, Archival Science.
