Among other documents, it is based on the well-known letter of Friar Aldao to Rosas. En dicho capítulo se lee lo siguiente, relativo a quien escribe estas páginas, aun cuando no se le designe allí por su nombre: "Uno de nuestros más eruditos y fecundos escritores ha publicado un estudio tendiente a demostrar que es injusto atribuir al general Pacheco la ejecución de Acha. Entre otros documentos, se funda en la conocida carta del fraile Aldao a Rosas.
