El autor hace notar que este pequeño trabajo que hoy entrega al público es el primero de una serie, es decir, el preámbulo y consideraciones generales sobre la obra final documentada, que imprimirá; sacada toda ella del sinnúmero de planos, relieves, perfiles, etc., etc., que obran en su poder y que han sido recopilados, tomando los datos y medidas sobre las obras que se conservan sanas en la actualidad y que son de la época que nos ocupa.
