In my opinion, it is not possible to predict either the epilogue or even the immediate consequences of these atrocious offensives: one can only study what refers to political institutions that must be replaced or modified, taking for granted that the causes of this horrible cataclysm of humanity, in which the majority of the best human beings have already succumbed, are to be attributed to the existing ones. Se trajo a la prensa la cuestión de las derivaciones de 'la actual guerra. Los escritores que se apuran a darla por concluida, proyectan de modos distintos el epílogo. A mi juico, no es posible vaticinar, ni en cuanto al epílogo, ni siquiera en cuanto a lo inmediato, o sea a las consecuencias de estas atroces ofensivas: sólo se puede estudiar lo que se refiere a instituciones políticas que deban ser sustituidas o modificadas, dando por sentado que es a las existentes a las que hay que atribuir las causas de este horrible cataclismo de la humanidad, en el cual ha sucumbido ya la mayoría de los más óptimos seres humanos.
